The Habeas Corpus clause (Article I, Section 9, clause2) is cited in full as one of a number of clauses which provide protections that would otherwise be included in the Constitution's non-existent bill of rights. Mid paragraph, Habeas Corpus along with the prohibition of ex-post facto laws and titles nobility are declared to be "perhaps greater securities to liberty and republicanism than any ...(the Constitution).. contains." FInally it is noted that Blackstone considered Englan's Habeas Corpus Act as "the BULWARK of the British Constitution."
